With over 25 years in the ICT industry, my journey began in the mid-1990s as a software engineer, working with companies like Telkom, Dimension Data, and Novell. I later spent over seven years in the United States with Novell, gaining deep exposure to global technology ecosystems and innovation at scale.
In 2006, I returned to South Africa to establish Google’s presence across the region. I led the launch of key platforms including Google Search, AdWords, Google Maps, Street View, and YouTube—building the foundation of Google’s Southern African business and digital ecosystem.
Since leaving Google, I’ve founded and scaled multiple fintech and technology ventures with global reach. I’m best known for inventing the Payment Pebble® and Payment Blade®, pioneering mobile payment solutions launched with ABSA in South Africa and ANZ Bank across Australia and New Zealand.
Today, my focus is on helping organizations across Africa and the United States navigate the rapidly evolving world of AI—bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and real-world business impact.
